How sure we areVery high

Based on 4 strong and 2 supporting pieces of evidence.

What we found

The video shows a white car caught in a tangle of overhead electric wires, hanging beside a flyover while people look on. In early October 2026 it was shared on X and other sites as a real accident in Delhi. It first appeared on 28 August 2026 on an Instagram account whose bio describes its owner as an AI creator, and that post said the visuals were made with AI. The fact-checkers NewsMeter, Newschecker and The Quint all searched for news or official reports of such an accident and found none. NewsMeter and Newschecker traced the clip back to the AI creator's post, and The Quint found that a still picture shared with it carried a hidden marker from Google's AI tools. When a dramatic accident has no news reports at all, look for the earliest copy: it often leads to the person who made it.

Weak Shown, not relied on

Detector scoresHive Moderation rated the video 99.8 to 99.9 per cent likely to be AI-made, according to the fact-checkers.
How it looksWriting on the hoardings in the background is distorted, and some of the people watching are misshapen. A heavy car stays held up by a loose web of thin wires.

Detector scores are often wrong, so they never decide a verdict here.
