What is happening
You get a call you did not ask for, saying an unauthorised order for an iPhone 15 has been stopped. The caller already knows some of your details, which makes it sound real. They ask you to read out a code sent to your WhatsApp to check your account, and that code lets them into your Amazon account.

- An unexpected call about an order you did not make
- The caller already knows some of your details
- You are asked to read out a code sent to your phone or WhatsApp
What to do
- Never share a code sent to your phone with someone who calls you
- Hang up and check your orders in the Amazon app or website yourself
- Report the call by texting 'call' and the caller's number to 7726
Already paid or shared your details?
- Call your bank straight away, using the number on your card.
- Change any passwords you shared, starting with your email.
- Report it (see below).
- Tell someone you trust. Scams catch careful people too.
